You should already be aware that 8th Worthing uses a system called Online Scout Manager (OSM) to reduce the amount of time our volunteer leaders have to spend on admin. The system also includes a Parent Portal designed especially for you. You’ve hopefully already found this useful to sign your child up for events, see and edit their personal details, view the term’s programme and see your child’s badge progress.

Our volunteer leaders used to spend a lot of time managing payments for events so we now use the online payment feature in OSM. All 8th Worthing events now use this.
OSM is integrated with a secure payment system called GoCardless which is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and uses direct debits to make payments. All payments are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
When you use OSM to confirm your child will be attending an event you will be prompted to setup a direct debit subscription. Please complete the ONCE-OFF online mandate to setup an account with GoCardless.
A direct debit subscription means any future events that your child attends you will automatically pay without having to lift a finger. You will always be notified IN ADVANCE of dates of any upcoming payments due. This should make it so much easier for both parents / guardians and our volunteer leaders. You don’t have to remember to pay us and we don’t have to remind you!!! WIN WIN 👍👍
