"Welcome to Starboard Watch Cub Pack's website.
We meet weekly on Tuesday evenings between 18.45 - 20.15 at the 8th Worthing HQ situated near the professional centre in Thomas A Becket Middle School grounds.
Through the year we get involved in loads of things including activities, trips ou and getting speakers in. Our program is varied to involve all this and cover the badge work that is part of cub scouting as well as being great fun!!
The work is done by the cubs mostly within our meeting nights to achieve these badges which build each child as good all round people and good scouts! Us leaders volunteer our time because we enjoy the work we do and watch the children grow and learn. We put a lot of preparation into the nights we run and the reward is the children gaining from it all.
We are also lucky to have three scouts (age 10 - 14yrs old) and three Explorers(age 14-18yrs old) that help us on pack nights, which is great for the cubs as it means we have a variety of ages helping with the activities.
We go on summer camps for a week camping under canvas in a variety of specially chosen, scout camp sites. Each year we have themed sumer camps, this year its a scientists camp!!
Hiking is one of our favorite things and we often run a night hike with a sleep over which the kids really enjoy.
Cub scouts is fun and because we belong to a sea scout group and therefore we can do lots of exciting water based activities!
So that's us - Starboard Watch Cubs: The Right Side!!!"
