Dear Present & Past Members, Leaders & Friends of the 8th,

Once again the group has reached one of those “Milestone” dates. On 28.9.03 the group will be 75 years old.

As at the 70th birthday, the whole group will be camping together at Blacklands Farm Activity Centre, East Grinstead on the Whitsun Bank Holiday, with many varied and adventurous activities to please all ages.

The input of past members and helpers of the group played a great part in making the group what it is today - a thriving and successful group. The present leaders of the group enjoy meeting past scouters and helpers in a convivial atmosphere and, to this end, we are organising a Dinner at the Charmandean Centre, Forest Road, on Sat. 6th September 2003 and would love to see you there. Times are 19.00 - 24.00, dress smart casual, or uniform.

The meal will be 3 courses, including some wine, and will cost £25.00. The invitation will be open to the first 150 people accepting. Could you please fill in & return the slip below EVEN IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND?

The group would be grateful if the money is paid by the end of July. By that time we will be sending out a list of all those attending – allowing you to make up tables of 10 or 12 with your friends.

The group is now embarking on a large fundraising project – we urgently need a new minibus, especially as soon garages will no longer be able to provide the fuel required for older vehicles. If you cannot attend, but feel that you would like to mark this special occasion with us, donations towards this fund would be gratefully received.
