Congratulations to Tim
Chipperfield and Joe Houslop who have both been selected to go to the 21st World Scout Jamboree next year.
Only 4 spaces were allocated to Worthing District.
The Jamboree will be a gathering of Scouts from around the world for 12 days from 27 July to 8 August 2007. The theme of the Jamboree in 2007 is “One World One Promise” – which captures the aspirations and hopes of young people for the future. 40,000 young people will camp, live and work alongside each other. They will come from a variety of different cultures, backgrounds, and religions. Together they will celebrate what unites them, and learn what they can do together to help build a better world.
Attending a World Scout Jamboree is a once in a lifetime experience. This cannot be more true than the 21st World Scout Jamboree being held in the UK and in Scouting's centenary year.
